Lockbox Processing - automated lockbox processing services to help businesses manage incoming payments, reduce exceptions, and streamline the receivables process.
Bill and Letter Printing - comprehensive solutions for document printing - from design, to variable printing, to electronic and paper delivery of invoices, account statements, acknowledgment letters, and other documents.
Item Processing - check processing solutions for financial institutions, including full image exchange, remote deposit capture, merchant capture, and image ATM.
1977 FISC is formed under the name of MSSC - Mutual Savings Service Corporation. MSSC's primary services were auditing, marketing, purchasing and training for seven Maine mutual savings banks that owned the company. A current owner, Norway Savings Bank, was one of the original owners.
1980 FISC is the first in Maine to introduce debit cards. The debit card is called InstaCard, which FISC encodes and embosses. A current owner, Androscoggin Bank, becomes an owner.
1981 FISC begins statement printing and mailing services for financial institutions.
1995 FISC is one of the first service bureaus in the country to offer image statements.
1997 FISC is one of the first companies in the country to offer online access to check images through the Internet.
1999 FISC operations expand to 35,000 square feet.
2003 Core item processing technology is upgraded for Check 21 and power encode.
2006 FISC introduces remote deposit capture, image exchange, ARC, electronic lockbox, and electronic bill payment and presentment.
2009 FISC expands image clearing network to include "on-we" exchange and also introduces Image ATM Deposit Automation solutions.
2011 FISC begins offering remote lockbox services. FISC is named a 2011 Best Places to Work in Maine employer and in the top ten list for small/medium employers.
