FISC Solutions' back office processing services help nonprofits, businesses and financial institutions focus on key strategic priorities while benefiting from the latest technology. Our primary services include caging and data entry, lockbox processing, bill and letter printing and remote electronic services.
FISC Solutions was formed in 1977 under the name of MSSC - Mutual Savings Service Corporation. MSSC's primary services were auditing, marketing, purchasing and training for the seven banks that owned the company. A current owner, Norway Savings Bank, was one of the original owners.
Today, FISC Solutions is owned by two Maine community banks and provides innovative back office services to nonprofits, businesses and financial institutions. Our staff of 100 employees provides secure and efficient processing services to our clients – enabling them to focus on their own core competencies and to become more effective organizations.
1977 FISC is formed under the name of MSSC - Mutual Savings Service Corporation. MSSC's primary services were auditing, marketing, purchasing and training for seven Maine mutual savings banks that owned the company. A current owner, Norway Savings Bank, was one of the original owners.
1980 FISC is the first in Maine to introduce debit cards. The debit card is called InstaCard, which FISC encodes and embosses. A current owner, Androscoggin Bank, becomes an owner.
1981 FISC begins statement printing and mailing services for financial institutions.
1995 FISC is one of the first service bureaus in the country to offer image statements.
1997 FISC is one of the first companies in the country to offer online access to check images through the Internet.
1999 FISC operations expand to 35,000 square feet.
2000 FISC begins lockbox processing services for businesses and also begins offering eStatements.
2003 Core item processing technology is upgraded for Check 21 and power encode.
2004 FISC begins invoice printing and mailing services for businesses and utilities, and also begins caging and data entry services for nonprofits and charities.
2006 FISC introduces remote deposit capture, image exchange, ARC, electronic lockbox, and electronic bill payment and presentment.
2009 FISC expands image clearing network to include "on-we" exchange and also introduces Image ATM Deposit Automation solutions.
2011 FISC begins offering remote lockbox services. FISC is named a 2011 Best Places to Work in Maine employer and in the top ten list for small/medium employers.
