Lewiston, January 21, 2009 - FISC Solutions' Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Kristine Avery, SPHR, was recently elected President of the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine (HRASM).

HRASM is a Portland, Maine based organization of human resource professionals with specialist and generalist backgrounds. HRASM is a chapter of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The purpose of HRASM is to improve the professional level of human resource management. HRASM provides professional networking opportunities and education to members and guests on various human resource related topics. HRASM currently has 255 members representing over 180 employers in Southern Maine.

Avery has extensive experience in human resource management and is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at FISC, where she has been leading the HR and Training & Development functions since 2000. She is also the instructor for the Human Resources Certification Preparatory Course (PHR and SPHR) through the University of Southern Maine. This course is designed for HR professionals preparing for the exam and provides students with practical information in several HR functional areas.
