Lewiston, January 27, 2009 - FISC Solutions announces that their Loan Servicing Department has almost doubled loan volumes from the 2007-2008 to the 2008-2009 school year - from 487,912 in new loan disbursements to 948,366.

Over the past year the student loan industry faced many challenges due to changes in regulations and problems in the financial markets. As a result, many private lenders have exited the student loan business.
