SIS to Offer Online Bill Pay Through FISC Solutions Lewiston, April 1, 2009 - FISC Solutions recently signed contracts with Sanford
Institution for Savings (SIS) to provide online bill payment for their customer network
located throughout southern Maine.
According to the 2008 Consumer Banking and Bill Payment Survey, over 63 million
online households are now regularly using online bill paying services; up from 61 million
last year. Internet-using households pay an average of 11 bills per month and of these,
42% are paid online. As more customers opt to pay bills electronically through online
sources, the pressure for banks and billers to offer more payment options is growing.
FISC's online bill pay solution, FISCpay, allows SIS the opportunity to offer multiple
payment options to their loan customers including web payments through credit and debit
cards and direct ACH debits from checking and savings accounts. "Our customers want
the flexibility of banking on their own time, 24/7," said Mark Mickeriz, SIS bank
